Cultural Sponsorship is an institution established by the Greek state that aims at
funding Culture with resources emanating from the private sector. It is necessary to distinguish Cultural Sponsorship from state subsidies. The latter concerns funding activities of the private cultural sector with public resources. Recipients of cultural sponsorship can be both the public cultural sector and the non-profit organizations activated in the field of Culture.
The Law 3525/2007 (presented in this website with its amendments) offers motives to individuals and companies to sponsor cultural activities. Also, in this website, there is a draft of the application and a draft of cultural sponsorship agreement between the Sponsor and the Recipient.
Priority of the Office of Sponsorships is to facilitate procedures for the Sponsors and the Recipients.
